"... the experience was just as amazing as we hoped it would be!"

We have been wanting to stay here for the past 5 years, since we had the most memorable and wonderful stay at Chris's former vacation property in Three Rivers. We were oohing and aahing at all the pictures and reviews prior to arriving, and when we finally came, the experience was just as amazing as we hoped it would be! Due to the nearby fires, we weren't sure if we would be able to visit as planned. However, Chris provided local updates leading up to our weekend, and confirmed that conditions improved prior to our arrival. Chris was very responsive to all the questions I had, and is a wonderful host. The home itself is impeccably decorated. We appreciated all the thoughtful touches. We cooked some meals in the chef's kitchen, and ordered dinner to go one night and sandwiches for our Kings canyon picnic from Sierra Subs as recommended by Chris. The river and land surrounding the home is wonderful as well. Our boys loved exploring the grounds (with close parental supervision of course!). It was so nice to watch them play outside. We loved this stay at Sequoia Falls. We felt a world away for a few days, and felt so relaxed after staying here.

“Absolutely wonderful house ad property! We had three generations and everyone loved it. Tons of ways to enjoy the place from rock hopping and swimming in the river to all the great places to relax with a book. Everything is high end quality and well stocked. Also, there are no “bad” rooms. The rooms are separated and have their own bathroom (except one that has a hall bathroom). You will not regret booking this!!! This place is my dream house!”

Chris is a wonderful host and communicator and the property is just beautiful.

I celebrated my 40th here with some family and it was absolutely amazing! Chris is a wonderful host and communicator and the property is just beautiful. It reminded me a lot of home in the Philippines with the decor and natural surroundings. I appreciated all the indoor plants and gardens. The home has everything you need to relax and get ready to enjoy it. We used some rosemary in the garden to cook dinner, and the kids had some fun exploring the river and watching the fish and frogs. The most thrilling is when my son and I saw a bear walking down the river on the property! Absolutely unforgettable. Thanks again Chris, everything was just magical.

Everyplace you looked, there is something interesting to see.

My wife and I were celebrating our 30th Anniversary along with some of our family members. The house was beautiful and exactly as described. We especially loved variety of sitting areas and decor of the property. Everyplace you looked, there is something interesting to see. Chris was especially helpful and responded quickly to any questions prior to our visit. Definitely would stay there again if we come back to the area.

We were stunned by the natural beauty of the location...

We were stunned by the natural beauty of the location of Chris’s house. It was so beautiful that we remarked on it randomly throughout our stay. The house is even more lovely than the photos. Every bedroom had its own charm. The decks created gathering places to enjoy socializing, playing cards and soaking in the beauty. The spot on the river is so special, we could see why people had been drawn to it for centuries. The little details like sharp knives in the kitchen, a truly well- stocked kitchen for cooking every single meal while we were there, great towels, comfortable furniture, and a spotless house, made our stay so perfect that we booked to return next year on our drive out. Although we were just a few minutes drive to the National Park, we had to force ourselves to leave to go for a visit.

The house and lands were so well maintained and clean!

This was a great escape for my family. The house and lands were so we'll maintained and clean! The river was mellow enough that my 7 and 9 year old could swim and walk upriver (with life jackets). The rocks on the property were so fun to climb. We spent so much time outside, which was exactly what we needed. Due to COVID, we decided not to leave the property at all, and we made all of our meals in the wonderful kitchen provided. The only downside of this property was that our stay was way too short!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this house.

This property couldn't be lovelier. The style and attention to detail throughout the house and property are first class. As beautiful as the pictures are they don't do this property justice. I've stayed at many vrbo's over the years and this one wins hands down. Plenty of room for two families to spread out. Great river access with a small swimming hole. You can watch your kids swim from the deck that overlooks the river. Beautiful views from the porch. Everything in the kitchen a master chef would want. The most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. I can't say enough wonderful things about this house. It's magical and I can't wait to come back.

Coming up with words to describe it, well, that is actually hard.

I have been renting on VRBO since it started and NEVER have I stayed in a more complete home than this! Coming up with words to describe it, well, that is actually hard. In no particular order: high end EVERYTHING, bedding was top notch, kitchen was beyond stocked, guest house was as nice as main house, CLEAN, I mean, CLEAN, high technology in the house, so many added things like box fans, remote controls for shades, books to read, fishing poles, so many hammocks, lounge chairs, and swings outside, spa shower, and then, the beautiful landscaping that just adds to the RIVER. The river...we stayed in early June so it was fast and loud...better than any sound on earth. We spent hours by the river reading, taking family pictures, and playing in the shallow areas. The firepit made an excellent place to warm up afterwards. I have staying in VRBO rentals in Jamaica, and 21 different states...this one TAKES THE CAKE. 11 out of 10 in our book!

My family loved our experience. Other landlords should take cues from Chris on hospitality. Everything you could want or need was available. As great as the pictures look, they don’t come close to depicting how amazing the facilities are or breathtaking the views are. This is really a perfect escape into nature coupled with 5-star accommodations.

This home far exceeded our expectations.

The photographs really do not capture how beautiful the property and home are, situated in an oak grove along the beautiful river front. The house was sparkling clean, so comfortable for us and our dogs, and had everything we could have needed. The steam shower and comfortable bed were very much appreciated and it felt luxurious to stay in this calm, peaceful, quiet, beautiful home, where every detail was so thoughtfully considered by the host. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property, and we plan to come back in different seasons. We saw blue herons and loads of woodpeckers at the property, and the visit to the Sequoia giants was magical. The local hike Chris recommended was beyond beautiful in the grassland meadows of the foothills. It really was a wonderful experience, from just hanging out at the house to exploring the National Park and landscape nearby. Chris was a wonderful host - so attentive and thoughtful and generous. This truly felt like a home away from home.

In an Airbnb landscape often reeking of corporate landlords offering up Costco barstools, limp bedspreads and photographs of the Brooklyn Bridge shot by IKEA, Chris’s place hits like an Asian-inspired rolling hills hideaway straight from the pages of T Magazine (or any of the tasteful coffee table books that pepper his hideaway). It’s not just that every detail is considered, it’s that every comfort is as well. When we needed a meat cleaver for schnitzel, it was there. A fine sieve for Budino? Also there. And, get this, there was actual soap in the soap dispenser built in to the kitchen sink. Who does that? We were two families with five little ones and two dogs and there were periods we simply didn't see one another. The property is filled with hidden nooks and seating areas, behind small hedges, down rock steps, swinging from the boughs of twisting California oaks, and near the river that flows right in front of the front porch. The inside is similarly considered with its design. featuring areas both for gathering and privacy. We’d recommend it highly but we’d just be adding to the global chorus of voices singing its praises. It’s located across a small bridge down a private driveway from Three Rivers, a charming little one-strip town with a sub and soup shop that might as well be on top ten lists across the country. It’s also just 10 minutes removed from the entrance to Sequoia National Park. Chris is a charming host who is attentive in the run up and during as well. We’d say book it but you’re probably too late.

It’s beautiful, serene, and extremely well done.

Sequoia Falls is our favorite rental... we’ve been three times over the last 2 years. It’s beautiful, serene, and extremely well done. And the river is something special. It’s peaceful for the adults and the kids love it... and they spend almost all of their time outside playing. Can’t wait to go again!

A wonderful and luxurious experience.

We have rented dozens of houses over the years (lucky us!) and this is, by far, the most stylish and best appointed we have ever stayed at. We were there in the winter, so did not enjoy the outside porch and river access much, but retook full advantage of the inside amenities, generous spaces, and stylish furniture. A wonderful and luxurious experience.

Excellent Experience

We rented this property for the Thanksgiving break. This property was immaculate. We really loved the style of the property and we were impressed by the attention to detail. There is ample room for sleeping and the living room is a warm and inviting place for the family to kick back and relax. Unfortunately for us, there was tons on snow in the mountains which meant road closures. Fortunately for us, we had this amazing property to keep us entertained. The house is modern and has everything you could ask for. A fully stocked kitchen made cooking a breeze. The bedrooms were large and very comfortable. The deck overlooking the river was amazing as was the beach. This property was much larger than we expected and was full of little surprises like a little citrus orchard, outdoor fire pit, beach area, etc. Chris was very response from the beginning and it really seemed like he cared about making his guests experience as memorable as possible. 5+ stars. Would definitely recommend this place and we are definitely planning on returning.
