“Favorite Place yet!”

“Favorite Place yet! We have stayed in around 20 houses in various places and I think this beautiful house is my favorite!!! The river is a huge plus and we spent a lot of time looking at it and hanging out on the sand beside the river. The kitchen has everything you can think of in a kitchen plus some. We stayed in the master bedroom and that bed was very comfortable!! The fire pit in the riverside patio was a huge draw and the family sat around it in the evenings and talked and reminisced which was quite a bit of fun for us. The other side of the house had a very quiet feel to it and I think we were sorry we didn’t spend more time there but the riverside tended to be a bigger draw. Another thing we loved about it was how private it was. I have to mention the amazing guest house too. Everything you might need there. We asked a few questions of Chris and he wrote back right away. He was so nice and helpful. I highly recommend Sequoia Falls!!”

There is a very special sense of peace here — waking up to the sound of birds in the morning, sitting in the beautiful little spots by the river, and simply enjoying the surroundings. What we loved most is how naturally the home blends into the landscape. It feels like it belongs there, allowing nature to flow around and through it rather than disturbing it.

And as if the experience wasn’t memorable enough, we even had a bear come to visit one day! 🐻

“Sequoia Falls is the best! This house is beautiful inside and out. It is well appointed and contained everything our family needed for an enjoyable week together. We were a group of five women (50s-70s) traveling to enjoying Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon. It was our first time visiting this area in California. Sequoia Falls was the perfect base camp for our adventure. The park entrance was only three miles from the house. The home’s mid-century modern decor was lovely. The house and grounds were peaceful. We enjoyed morning coffee on the expansive porch while enjoying the river directly The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The house was very clean and well organized. We felt like we were staying in the home of a friend rather than a rental. Chris, our host, communicated promptly and provided all the information we needed about the house and local area. I highly recommend this home for a trip to the parks or just a family retreat. 5!”

“We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Chris' place. Just as every review promised, the house and property are even more stunning in person—photos truly don't do it justice. We especially loved the private riverfront with the sandy beach area and the back patio, which became our favorite spot to unwind each evening. Chris is an incredibly hospitable and generous host who goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. We traveled with two young kids (1 and 3) and reached out ahead of time to ask if a high chair might be available since we were trying to pack light. Chris responded right away, letting us know he had already ordered one and that it would be there waiting for us when we arrived. That kind of thoughtfulness and attention to detail made all the difference. Before we even finished packing up to leave, we were already looking at the calendar to plan our next visit. “Sequoia Falls is truly a slice of heaven! Every positive thing mentioned in previous reviews is absolutely true. We especially loved all of the artsy touches throughout the property (the cozy hammocks and benches, the outdoor “sculptures”, and the library of wonderful books, to name a few). The hardest part of the day was figuring out where to settle in and enjoy the bliss. Having brought our dog, we were happy to see that different parts of the property were fenced off. Of course, time by the river requires a watchful eye. A dog bed , dog towels and a big biscuit awaited our pup. A little bouquet of gardenias from the garden graced the kitchen upon our arrival… a lovely touch. Both the sound of the roaring river and the little comforts of the home make for one perfect getaway. Thanks, Chris, for sharing your slice of heaven!”

The house is stunning and well designed, we spent hours on the patio listening to the river and warming by the fire pit. Easy drive to town for delicious food and shopping- I highly recommend Sequoia Coffee & Kitchen for brunch. The local grocery market had everything we needed for food and snacks at the house. My son caught many trout in the river and we spent a day with the Sequoias at the National Park. Dream vacation, couldn’t ask for anything more. Chris was a great host and very responsive.”

“The pictures of this home—both the interior and exterior—do not do it justice. The home feels like a luxury hotel, yet also like a lived-in home decorated elegantly with comfortable furnishings. It is pristine, and yet it does not feel sanitized. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The home was plenty spacious for a family of five, with wonderful gathering points both inside and out. The beach along the river is expansive. I was expecting a small stretch, but that was not the case. The wraparound porch was perfect for relaxing after exploring Sequoia NP, listening to the rush of the Kaweah River and enjoying the beautiful wildlife that the river draws.
